Recently I became a Director of California (or something like that???) for the bikini, fitness, lingerie models website and concern www. Ujena.com (check it out)! They've been around for about 23 years and their chief director/owner, I've determined, is a pretty cool guy and straight shooter. I've also taken on the responsibility of making Hadaka Sushi (8226 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, California 90046) one of the banging, sophisticated venues in Southern California...
For about two months now I have been providing a performing artist talent showcase to give some opportunity to new artist to be discovered by me to go on tour and to be recorded and have a track released by me. Actually it's been going swimmingly. Time to step it up...I was looking at my Myspace page and seeing all the lovely, intelligent and beautiful friends I've had the pleasure of making their acquaintenance and I was pretty impressed by all of you. You guys, pardon me, girls are doing some truly fantastic things and I'm so proud of you all, really. So I decided to do a couple of things in honor of you and your achievements. So many of you live right here in Los Angeles so it makes this easy.
Starting in a couple of weeks I'm going to have live burlesque at Hadaka. It will probablly be on a Tuesday Night for the first couple of weeks but we're going to expanded it after that. I'm also going to create a little competition for y'all called The Burlesque Queens with it culminating in one big crowning event called "The Queen of Burlesque". It's really exciting and we're talking to a lot of sponsors about prizes and opportunities galore for you. If any of you are interested in helping me shape it and making it exactly what you want it to be please email me at: kennybeck@gmail.com. If you want to find out something about me go to my website: www.babybeckentertainment.com and check out my bio.
I've worked with a lot of folks and am currently talking with Maurice Starr and Michael Jonzun (the writers and producers of all of the New Kids on the Block songs and the founders of the New Edition (Candy Girl) about their upcoming comeback tour for New kids on the Block. I really want to do some good things for you and will flesh out any opportunities I feel are right for you. Here are two: Check out Ujena.com on the web. Owner Bob Anderson and I are hammering out an agreement on a "boutique" competition for you that will take place in August, 2008 at Ujena's summer jam in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. Keep your fingers crossed and pray we get it concluded in the next couple of days. The schedule is tight. If we succeed it will provide anyone signed up with unprecented opportunities to give you entertainment career aspirations a swift kick in the as.. and set you on a fast track to show biz success. Did I mention, Myspace comedic genius, Joey Karate alias Joey CoCo Diaz alias Big Poppa is getting his own night at Hadaka Sushi to shine like no one else and to help some up and coming acts get their feet on solid footing. He is an amazing guy but one crazy muthafu....! Meanwhile, while we're gearing this all up check out Hadaka Sushi online at hadakasushi.com. It is a pin-up themed, sumptuous place with a very tasty menu of absolutely delicious sushi. Tell Eddie and Raphael that Kenny Beck sent you. Also sign up with Ujena.com and make sure you tell them Kenny Beck sent you (for the special package). You won't regret it and you'll definitely benefit!
If any of you, my friends here on myspace, want to have a special affair, birthday party or just girls night out, let me know. It will be our little secret, but I'll get the joint for you for nothing, well not nothing, I'll pick up the cost for the venue, anything over that is on you (nothing to crazy please, well ok, just a little crazy is alright)! Just email me and tell me what you want to do and when and I'll do my best to accomodate each and everyone of you, I promise you..Stay sweet and precious as you always are. My offer is only for my friends on my space period. It's to show you how much I appreciate you. Thanks!
Kenny Beck

All about the right way to Break into Show Biz...
More than any other element; talent, money, who you know or any other resources, knowledge is the key. That's right, I said it. How can you expect to be the brightest light in an industry of bright lights, if you have no true understanding of how it works, its' history or other important factors? I often meet newcomers who are quite enamored with the whole thing and see themselves as the saving grace of an industry they consider to be morally corrupt and bankrupt of any real humanity towards those who are dying to get in.
Well, hello...Welcome to Show Business. This is the industry that you chose to pursue. It probably didn't pursue you, unless you are one of those rarely annointed, earthly deities, that the stars in the sky were aligned to bless in the most fantastic and profound ways. Not you, huh? If it's not then you'd better prepare to put that nose to the grindstone, that hand to the fire and that butt perched to be kicked, because that's a very small part of what you're in for. Don't think so? You'd better ask around, or perhaps you should probably read some books that illustrate the true nature of "making it in Hollywood". It's no joke and yes, I know, you're going to be the exception to the rule. You're going to be the one who will not have to go through any of it because of your exceptional talent and the fact that the folks back home voted you the most likely to succeed and you won the local county talent show or high school beauty pageant.
All of these are commendable feats in their own right and the accolades probably well deserved but are relatively insignificant comparative to the scheme of things. It is much easier to sit and pretend that those happenings were and are significant, that they portend the shape of things to come for your budding career. Sadly and unfortunately they do not. What matters from this point on is how serious you take what you claim you want to be or what you want to do. There really is no easy way, but knowledge can definitely make the road smoother. It can help eliminate many of the pitfalls that lie ahead. They are many and all of the things your mommy and daddy told you when you set out on this adventure probably bear some repeating and do have elements of truth to them. But hey, it's your life and you're going to pursue it anyway so, you might as well be prepared. Peace.
